My name is Shantel Frederick, born the 20th August 1991 in the beautiful island of St. Lucia. I lived in St. Lucia my entire life, where i attended an all girls secondary school: St. Joseph’s Convent; after which i proceeded to the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. At both these institutions i studied the science subjects: biology and chemistry, along with accounting. Weird combination?! Yes i know!!! But my heart belongs to biology and accounting, and i hope one day i can obtain my degrees in both.
I would love to say i have a hobby, but then that would be a lie; unless you classify sleeping as a hobby. However, I am trying to change that: maybe play sports again, or even read books other than my texts; I did make progress over the Christmas vacation, where i read 3 novels. Yay me!!
I would describe myself as “expect the unexpected.” I’m not going to elaborate, just going to leave it as a mystery to be solved. We are scientist!
Biochemistry so far, personally has been one of my favourite courses. I really do hope that it remains that way. I appreciate Lecturer JM method of teaching, now its just for me to apply myself. I basically started this course with an open mind, and faith. I realised that the topics we are going to be covering are quite familiar, but that was at the college……this is a new ball game.
